Well where do I start.....................

After such a positive blog post back in February everything has changed.

My marriage/relationship of 15 years is over

It was me who ended it this time, I just couldn't do it anymore, the stress, the pain, the separate lives, so much more than that but I dont want to go into the details over the internet. So he's moved out, and our house/home is being listed for sale this weekend, so many hopes and dreams down the drain.

Such an awful thing to work through, but I'm of the "rip the band aid off" philosophy, rather than dragging the pain out....

So life goes on, and for now I'm just taking it one day at a time, so I'm sorry if I haven't been posting too much, or commenting on my favourite blogs that I love to read, but I'm in hibernation at the moment, trying to put my life back together, and trying to figure out 'where to next'.

New Beginings

I've been so lazy about my blog the last couple of weeks, so I thought I'd better get a quick post in to update you guys a little, but a lot of good things have been happening a lot of wonderful new things!!!

I'm finally starting to get my Web Design business off the ground, still haven't thought of a name for it yet - oops! But I already have a couple of clients booked for updating their website and a couple more for building their sites from scratch, I'm so excited!!!

One day I hope to be working full time as a Web Designer and being my own boss, wouldn't that be nice, no more 9-5 crap - YAY!

A couple of other new things are happening in my life, but i will post more about that another time, suffice to say Rhiannon is a very happy girl at the moment, happier than I have been for so soo long. And for those of you who know more about me, no I'm not pregnant, but very, very happy all the same!!

Maybe 2008 will be the year when it all comes together for me!!!

My Very First Award!!

I can't believe it, my very first blogging award!!


A big Thank you goes to Melanie at Creating Nunde her blog is full of lovely creative projects, I luv reading her blog/posts and catching up with her latest crafty adventures. My favourite at the moment is her Valentine's Cup Cake, check it out and if your lucky you might win one in her give away.

Ta-Da !!

Well I finally got around to taking a pic of my new hair colour, there's still a little too much strawberry in it, I'm getting more toner today and that should help (I hope).

Here's the before, this was taken in May last year......

Pic is a little blurry, but you get the general idea, anyway I'm off now to try and find a good toner, that doesn't have too much peroxide because I dont think my hair could take much more!

Time for a New Look

Well I'm over my red hair, and it's definitely time for a change!!

I've dyed my hair for as long as I can remember, and I think I've been almost every colour under the rainbow, from burgundy to black, red to blonde, copper to brown, highlights to no highlights, and dont even mention the word perm, it was the 80's I promise!!!!!!

Anyway I've had dark red hair now for about 7-8 years, and I'm over it.....sooooo over it!!! So I've decided to go blonde!!!!!!!!! OMG you should have seen the looks on the girls faces at the hair supply shops (2 in total), they thought I was crazy to attempt to do it on my own. But after a few disastrous results by hairdressers maaanny years ago, I've learned my lesson, and I've been colouring my own hair for for 15+ years (ooo I sound old hehee)!!

Well it's too late now, the deed is done, after about 3-4 hours last night of stripping the red out, rinsing, putting the new blonde in, rinsing, putting the toner in, rinsing and the finally a conditioning treatment - its all over!!! And I'm very happy with the result, and relieved that it's not orange, and that it hasn't fallen out from all the peroxide. At the moment its a nice warm blonde, not too white, not too strawberry, and I think in a couple of weeks I'll put another toner through to brighten it up a little more.

All in all I'm wrapped, except for the fact that when I catch my reflection in the bathroom mirror I get a little fright, I'm so used to seeing the dark red hair its giving me a little start at the moment seeing the blonde, silly I know!!

So I'll be posting pics of the before and after in the next couple of days, but not the 'in progress' pics, it's definitely NOT a good look with your head covered in dye and then wrapped in glad wrap......mmm not something I want to share thanks!!!

Over for another year

Christmas is over for another year - finally!

We went away this year, and stayed with my family in the Yarra Ranges, here's some pics of the beautiful place we stayed...

We arrived on Christmas Eve, and stayed until Boxing Day afternoon, and we certainly did not want to leave, especially to come back to work today!!

Christmas was lovely and great to catch up with my brother, sister-in-law & two nephews, and of course my mum. I didn't get to finish her green crochet blanket, but I did make little crochet mobile phone covers for everyone, and some fan bookmarks.

Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of them until we we're on our way and everything was wrapped - bugga!!! But they did go over a treat, and I'm wrapped that everyone liked them, I was worried for awhile there, that maybe they wouldn't - phew!!!

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. and got loads of lovely pressies. We're starting to get organised now for New Years Eve, we've got friends coming around to our place and we're going to put on a big spread of seafood & salads, nibblies and treats, and of course a few fireworks...shhhhh

Race to the Chrissie Pressie Line Finish

OMG Christmas is almost here, and I've been knitting and crocheting like Gorram maniac!!!!! Here's some pics I can post, alot of them I can't yet because the people who will be getting the intended gifts also check in with my blog.

I just love this pattern the crochet 'Fan Bookmark' and here are a few more that I have whipped up in the last couple of days, trust me this pattern is easy and the results are brilliant, even if I do say so myself....hehehe The plain pink and plain cream are done with DMC Perle 5 and a 1.75mm crochet hook. And the variegated pinks fan is done with DMC Perle 8 and a 1.25mm crochet hook.



Anyway it's just a quick post this time, cause I've got way tooo many gifts to get finished and I think I'm kinda shi#*ing myself that I won't get it all done in time..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
